Precision Deburring & Finishing
Much of our success as a provider of precision machined products comes from a constant drive to offer our customers as many services as possible under one roof. That includes medical device deburring and passivation (ASTM A967), which our experienced team treats as a critical phase of production, not an afterthought. For medical components, burrs, residual contaminants, and surface imperfections can affect how a part performs, so finishing is where much of a part’s quality is decided.
Our finishing capabilities include precision deburring under 50x magnification, passivation per ASTM A967 on our in-house ultrasonic passivation line, aqueous vapor degreasing, ultrasonic cleaning, vibratory tumbling, and precision glass bead finishing. For plating and specialty coatings, we work with an established vendor base and monitor those outside processes to keep quality consistent.
Lavelle Medical’s goal is simple: to give our customers the service, quality, and precision they expect, on every part and every order.
Finishing at Lavelle Medical
For us, “finishing” doesn’t mean the job is nearly complete. We don’t treat it as the finish line. We treat it as a vital opportunity to ensure top-notch quality and performance for your application.
For many projects, especially in medical applications, deburring and finishing can be the most critical phase of production. A stray burr or a trace of residue can affect how a device performs, fits, or is cleaned and sterilized. That is why our experienced team handles every phase of precision deburring and polishing in-house, followed by ultrasonic cleaning to remove oils, particulates, and processing residues before parts move on to passivation, inspection, and shipment.
Each step is checked against your requirements, so parts leave our facility clean, consistent, and ready for use.
